The most successful duo in the British music history – Pet Shop Boys – have now been announced as the Friday night headliner for Õllesummer Festival. The electropop mega-duo will take the main stage of the festival on 6 July, bringing a spectacular lighting show and beloved hits as a part of their world tour SUPER.
“The concert that was given by Pet Shop Boys five years ago, was the most successful that the Õllesummer Festival has ever had. And when they announced their SUPER tour, we had no doubts regarding wanting them to perform for us again. Their commitment, music and vibe is something special,” said the lead organizer of the festival, Marje Hansar, when commenting on the choice of Friday’s headliner. “In addition to Franz Ferdinand, Pet Shop Boys are already the second headliner to be announced for this year’s programme. More good news is expected soon,” she added.
The concerts of Pet Shop Boys are known for their special lighting and laser show. SUPER is significantly more fast-paced than the last tours, but it is important that all of their popular hits would be performed. Pet Shop Boys have sold over 50 million albums worldwide, and their songs have been at the top of the global music charts. Pet Shop Boys are performing at the Õllesummer Festival on Friday, 6 July.
